JULY’S CLUB NIGHT DEMONSTRATOR: Barbara Collins TITLE OF DEMONSTRATION: “Summer Gardens”
It has been a couple of years since we had the pleasure of watching Barbara demonstrate for us and we were delighted to have her back, with 6 designs representing different types of summer gardens.
Most of the foliage that Barbara used came from her garden as did some of the flowers, along with some different commercial varieties. The combination gave some stunning designs as I think you will agree.
During the evening as well as explaining what she was doing in her designs, she also gave some very useful hints and tips

COMPETITION:
We were short on numbers for the competition this month due to summer holidays but the entries we did have were very imaginative. The title was “A Job or Occupation”. We had a chimney sweep, hairdresser and woodcutter.

1st Anne Garneys – 9 points
2nd Audrey Harris – 8 points
3rd Pauline Green - 7
Best in Competition this month was Anne Garneys.
There were no Novice or Intermediate entries this month.
Next month’s competition is “Beachcomber”
