Walton-on-the Naze Flower Club was founded in 1983 and Club and Committee member Mrs Ros Duddy is one of the founder members. The Club is run by a voluntary committee and includes open events, coffee mornings, afternoon teas and from 2016, workshops.
At our monthly Club meetings which are held on the 2nd Thursday in the month, a NAFAS or Floristry qualified demonstrator entertains us by making six flower arrangements. The demonstrator’s arrangements are raffled at the end of the demonstration. so do remember to buy your raffle tickets. Money raised in the raffle is used towards the cost of the flowers for the demonstrators. We give our demonstrators a significant allowance for flowers to ensure that we have the best possible arrangements

Members Competition
We also hold a flower arrangement competition at our monthly meetings for Club members who would like to enter.
There are three classes:
Novice
Intermediate
Advanced
Points are awarded for each place and at the end of the year the member with the highest number of points in their class will be presented with a trophy to keep for the year.
The judge is also asked to select a “Best in Competition” each month.
Any member is welcome to take part whether they are completely new to Flower Arranging or have been enjoying it for many years. It is a good way of learnning and improving your skills.
